What is JEE Main?
- National level entrance test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
- For admission to B.E./B.Tech, B.Arch and B.Plan courses in NITs, IIITs and other participating institutes.
- JEE Main scores are used as eligibility test for JEE Advanced (IIT admissions).
Exam Pattern in Brief
- Paper 1 – B.E./B.Tech (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics; mostly objective type).
- Paper 2A – B.Arch (Mathematics, Aptitude, Drawing test).
- Paper 2B – B.Planning (Mathematics, Aptitude, Planning based questions).
- Exam is conducted in multiple sessions during the year; best score is usually considered.
